Human Powered Health starts its European racing campaign at Challenge Mallorca from January 25 to 27.
Challenge Mallorca is a three-day race series with the flat, sprint-likely Trofeo Marratxi-Felanitx and the mountainous Trofeo Palma Femina and Trofeo Binissalem-Andratx races.
Challenge Mallorca will be the first chance to catch some new athletes in our team colors. Thalita de Jong, Carlotta Cipressi, Maggie Coles-Lyster and local rider Yurani Blanco all take to their first start line for Human Powered Health. They are joined on the Balearic Isle by Romy Kasper, Lily Williams and Daria and Wiktoria Pikulik.
The competition level will be high, with Mavi García (Spain), Cédrine Kerbaol (EF Education-Oatly), Chiara Consonni (CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto), Sofie van Rooijen and Eleonora Gaspparini (both UAE Team ADQ), Olivia Baril and Marlen Reusser (both Movistar Team), all down to race.

The Challenge Mallorca will be the first race in the colors of Human Powered Health for local rider Yurani Blanco.
“I’m very happy to make my debut with the team at home races,” she said. “It is something special. I know all the roads and their difficulties. I want to take advantage of that to help the team as much as possible.”
Mallorca is a cycling haven for European cycle-tourists with an estimated 150,000 visiting the island every year, and it’s easy to see why.
“You have climbs with sea views, the mountains, or you can complete workouts on the flats near the beach,” Blanco explains. “I really like the historic center of Palma or a ride along the coast of Alcudia and Pollença.”
The Challenge Mallorca shows off the very best of what the island has to offer.
“The first race runs through small villages in the plains of Mallorca,” says Blanco. “The next two stages are spectacular, passing through the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range which is a World Heritage Site.”
Over in Australia, the team will also be competing in the Schwalbe Women’s One Day Classic on January 26. Find out more in our race preview.
Challenge Mallorca Race by Race
1/25 Trofeo Marratxi-Felanitx | Marratxi – Felanitx (129.1km) Rolling
The most likely of the three to finish in a sprint, Daria Pikulik will be aiming for the top step of the podium after the peloton navigates its way around the Mallorcan countryside. She goes into it as a favorite alongside Sofie van Rooijen (UAE Team ADQ) and Chiara Consonni (CANYON//SRAM zondacrypto).
1/26 Trofeo Palma Femina | Palma – Castell de Bellver (129.5km) Hilly + uphill finish
The Trofeo Palma has a back-loaded profile with the Coll des Grau and Coll de sa Creu coming in the final 30km before a finishing kick up to Castell de Bellver. Climbers will have to be as adept going downhill as they are going up.
1/27 Trofeo Binissalem-Andratx | Binissalem – Port d’Andratx (107.5km) Hilly + uphill finish
The shortest of the three races, the final day of the series is also its toughest. Finishing on the steep climb on the outskirts of Port d’Andratx, the winner will need all the punch they have left after passing through the Serra de Tramuntana.
