Bart Lemmen
About Bart
Bart’s journey into cycling is unlike any other. Having been a platoon commander in the Royal Netherlands Air Force, Bart’s first major bike race was the 2021 national time trial championships. Bart’s military training has had a profound effect on his cycling, both physically and mentally and he quickly made a name for himself. 2022 was a breakthrough year on the bike for Bart with a victory on a hilly Kreiz Breizh Elites stage, a top ten placing on the Tour de Slovaquie’s queen mountain stage, fourth place in his road national championships and third in Stadprijs Geraardsbergen.
A rider that excels on hilly terrain and in time-trial, Bart may have been relatively ‘late’ to the racing side of cycling, but the Dutchman was always an athlete. He played soccer and ran track and cross country as a teenager before joining the Air Force. A natural leader, Bart will navigate his first season as a professional in 2023.
