Alan Banaszek
About Alan
Polish fast man Alan had a breakout season in 2022 with GC and a stage victory at the Tour of Thailand and a stage win at Belgrade Banjaluka as well as a total of 22 top ten finishes in UCI races. Alan can count on his track cycling craft to help him navigate the often hectic finales of sprint finishes, making him a final kilometer expert. His two European championship titles – the points race in 2017 and the omnium in 2021 – back up the fact that he can find the racing line within the chaos.
Alan is from a cycling passionate family. His cousins, Adrian Banaszek and Polish national champion Norbert Banaszek also currently race, as did his father and three uncles. Alan is part of the Polish army and uses swimming and trips to the sauna as crucial parts of muscle recovery after big blocks on the bike.
