The 2021 Volta ao Algarve is the first edition that Rally Cycling has taken part in since 2017 when a roster led by a young Sepp Kuss took on the race which was eventually won by his now teammate, Primož Roglič. Other past winners include Geraint Thomas, Tadej Pogačar and Remco Evenepoel, which goes to show the event's caliber.
After a series of strong showings in the Tour of Turkey and Volta a Valenciana, the men will be ready to show their strength again at what promises to be a hotly contested five days of racing.
