Rally Cycling joined the 7th Annual UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation Century Ride in Eden Prairie, MN. The 100-mile ride took place on Sunday, July 29 and benefitted the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation. Ride participants raised $725,000 to help fund medical grants for children and their families via the foundation.
The fully-supported 100-mile ride took off from Optum headquarters and took participants through the beautiful Minnesota countryside. Fundraisers and partners had the opportunity to ride alongside professional cyclists including former Canadian Road Champion Matteo Dal-Cin, and grant families attended the ride, cheering on the riders from one of the five vibrant rest stops.
“It’s inspiring to see the grant families come out to these events and cheer us on,” said Dal-Cin. “You feel good knowing that our partnership with UHCCF helps bring exposure to such a worthy cause. I’ll take a beautiful bike ride any day, but this one was special.”
For the third year running, Rally Cycling hosted a pre-ride dinner for participants and partners. Managing Director Charles Aaron and Rally Cycling were presented with a framed jersey in recognition of the team’s efforts to support the UHCCF and their tremendous work at the Century Ride.
Thank you to all of the generous people that helped make the weekend possible, and don’t miss out on an incredible opportunity to help families in need for 2019!
