For the second consecutive year, the team joined Rally Health and Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon, a Rally Health Ambassador, to host a Holiday Bike Build benefitting 150 children and teens from the Boys & Girls Club of Carson. Jesse Anthony, Brad Huff, Matteo Dal-Cin, and Rob Britton helped the recipients build and trick out brand new Diamondback bikes that they got to take home for the holidays. This year’s event took place at StubHub Center, the Chargers’ home field, which also showcases America’s largest indoor velodrome facility, the VELO Sports Center.
In addition to helping build their own bikes, the recipients had the opportunity to interact with Gordon, who sat down for a chat about staying healthy and keeping focused in school. The Heisman Trophy winner ran football drills with them and took them on a tour of StubHub Center.
Rally Cycling’s pro athletes followed up by leading a ride around StubHub Center’s concourse. Other events included potato-sack and hippity-hop races, a photo booth, Clif Bar baskets, and a healthy, hot meal.
The event was hosted by Rally Health in collaboration with AEG and StubHub Center.
