Human Powered Health is excited to announce Goodyear Bicycle Tires as its official tire provider to its Women’s WorldTour team for the upcoming Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. As one of the world’s largest and most iconic tire brands, Goodyear is an industry leader that strives to develop state-of-the-art products and services that set the technology and performance standard.
Goodyear Bicycle Tires is committed to using this global presence and impact to support women’s cycling as it grows from strength to strength, thanks in part to huge new events like the Tour de France Femmes. The partnership will extend through the 2024 season, showing Goodyear’s commitment to equipping Human Powered Health with the latest in tire innovation that enhances each racer through superior reliability, style and performance.
“The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift is a huge moment not just in cycling but in women’s sport in general,” said Luke Musselman, Goodyear Bicycle Tires's President. “We are delighted to team up with Human Powered Health for the seasons ahead to showcase the very best of a recognizable American brand being raced on by the most recognizable American bike team.”
The full product line includes tires equipped with cutting-edge technology to take on all the roads of the 2022 tour. The Eagle F1 for all-round racing performance, the Eagle F1 Supersport, a lightweight tire for competition use, the Vector 4 Seasons for uncertain conditions and uneven tarmac and finally the durable Eagle Sport.
The stages in the Tour range from flat days in Paris to Strade Bianche-style gravel roads through the Champagne region, to traversing the Alsace mountains before finishing on the devilishly steep La Super Planche des Belles Filles. This means that the riders need absolute trust in their equipment, especially tires, so often the thin strip of rubber that makes the difference between victory and defeat.
Human Powered Health athletes were testing out the tires during the early season Algarve training camp and have been recently spotted racing on them during the Lotto Belgium Tour and UCI WorldTour Tour de Suisse stage races.
The team are excited to be showcasing the biggest American brands at the world’s biggest festival of bike racing. For more information, visit www.goodyearbike.com.
