Human Powered Health is taking its sprinting power to the Middle East for the UAE Tour Women from February 8 to 11.

A feast of sprinting punctuated by the climbing stage to Jebel Hafeet, the tour promises four days of fireworks.

Tour Down Under stage winner and Tour of Guangxi champion Daria Pikulik leads the line and is joined by her sister Wiktoria, Silvia Zanardi, Linda Zanetti, Romy Kasper and Maëlle Grossetête

Pikulik ready to go again in the WorldTour.

The six will go up against some of the best speedsters in the world including powerhouse Lorena Wiebes (both Team SD Worx – Protime), Chiara Consonni (UAE Team ADQ) and Clara Coponni (Lidl – Trek). The GC will likely be contested between the likes of world champion Lotte Kopecky (Team SD Worx – Protime), last year’s Lidl – Trek one-two of Elisa Longho Borghini and Gaia Realini and Spanish champion Mavi Garcia (Liv AlUla Jayco).

Route guide

2/8 Dubai Miracle Garden – Dubai Harbour (122km) flat
Starting and finishing in the metropolitan oasis of Dubai, stage 1 will be a straight shootout between the best sprinters in the world. Finishing on a wide avenue, there is plenty of space for the top hitters to go shoulder-to-shoulder.

2/9 Al Mirfa (Bab Al Nojoum) – Madinat Zayed (113km) flat
A stunning stage in the desert, if last year’s first edition is anything to go by, when cover gets sparse in the UAE, the winds may blow. The potential for echelons could massively impact who is left to compete in the bunch sprint.

2/10 Al Ain Police Museum – Jebel Hafeet (128km) uphill finish
The classic GC decider in the UAE Tour, the uphill finish at Jebel Hafeet will crown the race victor. After crossing the desert, the peloton takes on the 10km climb. A wide road that winds through hairpins and over gradients averaging at 8% with a maximum of 11% 3km out, the road then plateaus before a final kick to the line.

2/11 Louvre Abu Dhabi – Abu Dhabi Breakwater (105km) flat
The final stage of the race mirrors the first day and is contained within Abu Dhabi. A final chance to see who will take the glory and rise to the mantle of the world’s best sprinter.
