Remembering Kelly Catlin

news

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Kelly Catlin, a beloved member of Rally UHC Cycling.

Kelly was an amazing person, teammate, and an important part of the Rally UHC family. Her academic and athletic brilliance was matched by her beautiful, kind spirit and her unique, wonderful sense of humor.

On the bike, Kelly was an unstoppable force. With an Olympic silver medal and three World Championships under her belt at the young age of 23, Kelly’s power, precision, and drive as a competitor was matched by few and inspired awe in all. In her three years with Rally UHC Cycling, Kelly established herself as a team leader and a fan favorite for her aggressive, take no prisoners style of racing. Behind the scenes, her teammates will remember her for her wit, kindness, and for being the consummate teammate.

Off the bike, Kelly was a brilliant intellectual, reaching for the highest levels of achievement in academics. She loved mathematics and was enrolled at Stanford University to study her passion, pursuing a Masters degree in Computational and Mathematical Engineering. Before that, Kelly double majored in Mathematics and Chinese at the University of Minnesota, not far from her hometown. Training with her brother on Minnesota’s plentiful and beautiful bike trails was how Kelly developed her passion for cycling.

Our heartfelt condolences are with her family during this difficult time.
