Lily Williams, the ever-improving all-rounder on Human Powered Health, could be poised for a breakout spring classics campaign.
Now in her fifth season as a pro, the former collegiate runner and Olympic track cycling medalist, Williams is the motor that gets the team to the finish line.
This season, the 29-year-old is working hard toward becoming the first one across the line.
“This is a really big year for me,” Williams told Velo. “I feel like I have a lot to prove both to myself and to the team. I’m starting to ask for more opportunities, and I feel pressure to deliver on that.”
In her ever-steady rise within the professional ranks, 2024 could well be a turning point.
