Sprinter renews through 2027

Sprinter Kathrin Schweinberger continues her journey with Human Powered Health Cycling by extending her contract through 2027.

The 29-year-old is a key part of the sprints and Classics squads and, in 2025, won her third national championship. She went on to finish third overall at the Tour of Poland and amassed an impressive 16 top-ten placings, which included five podiums. She continued that streak in 2026, sprinting to two further podiums with seven top-ten placings.

“After last year, I already felt really comfortable in the team and benefited from all of the support from the staff,” says Schweinberger. “When everyone is pushing in the same direction and aiming high, it creates a really exciting environment to be part of. I’m looking forward to building on the foundation we created together.”

Schweinberger’s adaptability throughout a season sees her perform strongly at a multitude of different events.

“We are delighted that Kathrin is continuing with us,” says Ro De Jonckere, General Manager. “She is an integral part of our team and has shown that she can compete at the highest level. We know there’s more to come down the road from Kathrin on the WorldTour because we have already seen it.”

Schweinberger is a big part of the team environment, a variable that helps her perform to her best ability.

“For me, what is really important is that the team is really professional, but also the atmosphere and vibes are excellent, so you don’t feel a huge pressure,” explains Schweinberger. “We all know it is important to give our best every day, and in this environment, you really feel that. When I am home, I’m always excited to rejoin the team, and that’s an important feeling for me to have.”

This has had a positive impact on her racing prowess.

“Every year I make a step forward, and last year was my biggest step,” she says. “As riders and staff, we support each other so much. This helps me push myself forward. If you have a united feeling, then you race harder, sprint faster, and give your best to achieve the team goals.”

Ever-present, the Human Powered Health Labs are another factor that has unlocked more of Schweinberger’s ability.

“It’s such a privilege to have this support from the lab,” she says. “For any athlete, it’s so important to check your health, mind and body, and the fact that we have this at our disposal is amazing. You feel safe with them, they are so kind, and we are actually really interested in their work, as well as them being interested in us, so it is always a great time being there.”

The Wellesley, MA Performance Lab now has one of Schweinberger’s framed and signed champion jerseys, something Schweinberger says she was incredibly touched to see. She also spent much of 2026 racing atop the Factor ONE aero bike.

“I really love the bike and our material,” says Schweinberger. “I’m so comfortable on it, and I trust it 100% in training and in races. The ONE is such an exciting bike, the best I’ve ever used, and I love using it in the sprints. The OSTRO VAM is also such a cool bike and is great on the cobbles at the moment. They are the perfect bikes.”

Looking forward, Schweinberger is keen to get her arms back in the air.

“Winning is a big goal of mine,” she says. “I’m really motivated to show that I can do it. Giving back and taking my chances when I get them is really important to me.”
