“Inspired Bikes 3” raises $21,500

news

For the third year running, Rally Cycling provided six athletes with one-of-a-kind, hand-painted bicycle frames for the Amgen Tour of California. Young grant recipients of the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation collaborated on the designs by providing Circuit Sport’s design team with creative inspiration. All proceeds from the auction went to the foundation and the families and kids who benefit most.

The bikes were ridden by Robin Carpenter, Sara Bergen, Brandon McNulty, Erica Allar, Adam de Vos, and Evan Huffman.

“Seeing the athletes race on these bikes, and hearing how the children’s stories and creative input helped them push a little bit harder, is inspiring,” said Creative Director Sam Wiebe. “Knowing that it’s for a foundation we really believe in makes it even sweeter.”

Bids were received from all over the country and at the conclusion of the auction, our “Hip-Hop Dance”, “Gymnastics”, “Gladiator”, “Great Outdoors”, “WW2” and “Classic Cruiser” bikes had sold for a grand total of $21,500.
