Human Powered Health proudly reveals our 2025 team edition Factor OSTRO VAM.
This frame in Factor’s road racing lineup was designed for all-around speed and shaped around precisely managed aerodynamic gains. Using Factor’s ‘front-to-back’ approach to balance weight, stiffness and aerodynamics, the bike was designed, tested and manufactured in-house by Factor.
Each iteration underwent hundreds of simulations throughout the development cycle before wind tunnel verification and real-world testing. Key areas of optimization on the new OSTRO VAM include the fork, head tube, top tube, and seat post.
Factor’s rapid design iteration, analysis and optimization process has resulted in a 70-gram reduction in drag. This accounts for a seven-watt saving compared to the previous OSTRO VAM frame. Also, thanks to the new aerodynamics, the faster the bike rides, the better the aero benefits.
Thalita de Jong’s bike also features the Black Inc SIXTY TWO wheelset, which delivers speed in all conditions. The rounded profile provides a predictable ride feel without compromising on weight or aerodynamics, and it is optimized for 28mm tires with a 23mm internal rim width. This promotes aerodynamic performance and gives the rider greater control in crosswinds.
Each gram has been modeled, tested, and proven to deliver aerodynamic benefits and elevate the OSTRO VAM’s point-and-shoot ride feel. With a frame weight of 820 grams in a size 54 (painted), savings have been drawn from both Factor’s aerodynamic improvements.
The bike is topped off with eye-catching components including SRAM RED AXS components, Vittoria Corsa PRO Tubeless-Ready tires and Wahoo technologies, making this aero-speed machine the ultimate modern-day racer.
