Those were the words of Romy Kasper the day before the fifth Paris-Roubaix Femmes. The most brutal one-day Classic in the world, Kasper excelled on the pavé, remaining as part of the leading group until much of the way into the race. She would cross the line 16th.
But, from the first pedal strokes in Denain to the iconic Vélodrome André-Pétrieux finish, via 17 sectors of gruelling cobbles, the 2025 edition was truly a race for the ages.
