Team lights up Italian Grand Tour

At this top table level of the Women’s WorldTour, it could be said that this year’s Giro d’Italia Women was Human Powered Health Cycling’s most successful stage race in its programs history.

Visible throughout the week in Italy – helped greatly by beautifully designed helmets from Smith – the team lit up the racing from the stage one time trial to the rolling hills of stage eight.

Along the way, Ruth Edwards scored two phenomenal podiums, new signing Giada Borghesi took sixth on a tough stage in her debut Giro, Silvia Zanardi won the intermediate sprints competition and Barbara Malcotti finished 15th on GC. More staggering is that she succeeded in this feat having broken both elbows during the season.
